To gig or not to gig
Hey guys,
For the Dec 1st (Thurs night) gig, are you guys on about it? If we are to perform, we just need to do 2 to 3 songs, the main problem is the equipment la. Coz we prob need to rent and all that..and I not sure how much money the organisers are willing to fork out.
Alternatively we can choose not to go for the gig, since we haven't had much practise. Its not too late to back out yet heh.
How onz are you guys for this gig? We gotta make a decision soon so I can tell my fren if we decide not to go for it, or we can start sourcing for equipment.

practice, i believe we can do it once we have something to work towards to (like a gig)
but the main problem is, if we are asked to peform and already not being paid, we shouldn't also be forking out for the equipment.
I think they have to understand that, cannot abuse bands like this =P
its not just drum set and amps, do they even have a good sound system that can withstand the equipment...

Yo heh yeh I'm not willing to fork out money either. Think we just need to get the price list and pass it to the organiser, if they have the money they'll pay for the rental. Just that I feeling a bit at a loss as to how to source for equipment other than at CACS (the nus guit club).
Deb's exams end on the 29th right? If we do the gig, we'll just have the 30th to brush up. If everyone's schedule can, then lets go for it heh.
An posted a pretty good post on the guild house sound system.
Come guys lets decide fast, tho ultimately we might still not get to go for the gig if the rental prices are way to ex.

i'm guessing the sound system there will not be good enough. the danger of being the only one performing, if we use a bad sound system, we will sound really bad. can be damn paiseh.
then might be better that we don't play.
for amps (guit/bass), drum kit, mics, monitors, speakers, console also at least $600-800 i think.
