bear with me

haha, sorry guys for posting everywhere. I'm so lor sor that I decided to start a new post =P.

We can come up with an equipment list, but can the organiser provide? How much are they willing to fork out for sound system and equipment. From there then can see how to work things in.

YuJia you wanna check with them?

My own modification of the wish list:
1) Keyboard stand (no need keyboard)
2) 2 guitar amps
3) 1 bass amp + 1 dynamic mic (with mic stand)
4) Drumset + 1 kickdrum mic (with mic stand) + 2 condensors (with mic stands) if poss
5) 2 Wireless mics. if not, can live with condensors (with mic stands)
6) 2 Stage monitors (imagining that the place is small, we can just place it like left and right, since most of the instruments are not mic-ed up anyway)
7) Decent Speakers (if the one they have is really bad)
8) Console (do they have one? how many channels?)
9) Live Sound engineer. who will be balancing the sound live for us?
10) DI Box x2 (one for keyboard, one for acoustic guitar if we need) - eh, but this one truly, i should go buy one hahah
11) How many electrical points do they have near the performance area?

To me, mu chuan one was quite a nightmare having to plug the guitars directly into the console. Nobody to control the sound for us live (learnt my lesson) and we can't play halfway then stop to adjust also. I'm scared of bad sound systems already, it can break confidence.

So if its gonna be a bad system, yet we gotta pay for equipment rental, then my opinion is, we give this a pass. Bad sound systems are fine for karaoke singing, but definitely not bands.

yes bands are troublesome... what to do =P. So if they want a band, they have to bear this cost...

ps: by the way, just fyi la hehe, monitors shouldn't be called monitor speakers. they are either monitors or speakers =)
